December favourites part 2

Hi guys so I'm back with my December favourites and this is part two.

This has been amazing through out December for me. Bubblegum lip scrub smells, tastes :/ and feels amazing. I suffer from really dry lips and this has sorted them right out leaving them feeling completely smooth.

The Body Shop skin primer in matte has also been amazing through out the party season. Those days when your out and about and have to go straight to a party or for drinks and don't want to pile even more makeup on top of the makeup you already have on. This keeps your makeup in place and stays all day, winning.

Eye shadow primer potion by Urban Decay helps keep eyeshadow on all day. I hate it when you leave the house with a lovely dark, smokey eye and by the end of the night your left with a little subtle shadow. Enjoy the look you have created all night long with this long lasting eye shadow base.

Tom Ford liquid eye liner and absolute for eyes. A lovely combination for a smokey eye from my lovely brother. Tom Ford's products are always so beautifully packaged. These items are amazing and you only need to use a little so it will last
you.

Benefit they're real mascara I was recommended by from a few bloggers and my best friend Sasha who works in the beauty industry. I loved it as soon as I took the first stroke. My eyelashes are more exaggerated and it lasted all day, a huge thumbs up from me.

Here are my new brushes from The Body Shop... From my brother, he picks good presents right. I have been using Mac brushes for a while and I am very fond of them but these came along and I'm converted. Their brushes are extremely soft and just feel so lovely when applying makeup.

There you have it, my December favourites. I hope you enjoyed it and if you give any a try let me know what you think.

My December favourites part 1

Happy New year to you all.
So this is something I haven't done before but I would like to do more often, It's my December favourites. I'm thinking of doing it more, perhaps not monthly but every couple of months.

These are products that I have bought or received throughout December that I already can't live without, so here they are.

Jo Malone white jasmine and Mint, I love  mint whether it's sweets, ice cream, chocolates or a mojito :) so this I had to try and absolutely loved it. Jo Malone products are amazing and I am devoted customer of theres.

I am a huge Olsen fan and this is their brand Elizabeth and James. I have wanted to try this for a long time but you can only get it from America. For Christmas my mum and dad got me it and the smell is gorgeous, it's only a small bottle with a roll on top so I will be saving this for special occasion, thanks mum and dad :).

Victoria's Secret sensual blush was a purchase I made for when in a rush and moving about quickly. It's a fragrance mist and smells incredible, I just spritz it over my entire body in between darting around. It's a good handbag product so your not wasting your favourite perfume spraying it on and on through out your day.

Camomile cleansing butter is a godsend for me. I had the liquid cleansers and they just seem to get me in a mess when I'm wearing liquid eye liner and I never feel it's completely off. This product is amazing, I simple wipe a cotton pad over it and then over my face and it takes all of my makeup off soooo quickly, it's incredibly soft and I just love it.

This is one of those products you use when your skin is in much need of a boost, perhaps the cold weather has made it feel dry and dull. I cover this all over my face and neck and leave it to sink in. It is a little greasy so I wouldn't use it when your in a rush, use it on those days when your having a little pamper and you have your hair up in a towl and your nail polish drying ;).

I bought the The Body shop face mist to keep in my bag to spray when my face is feeling dry. Then my brother brought me the cream which is also lovely. It means I can use the cream in the mornings and keep the mist In my bag to keep me topped up through out the day. Lovely products and definitely a must of mine.

I do love a skin care regime and was looking for a mask that would warm my skin and make me feel all cosy in this winter weather. Well I found it in this Sanctuary Spa deep cleanse facial thermal mask. It's incredible and I actually took it away with me on New Years Eve to use it in the morning to make me look a little less tired and dull.

I have used anti ageing products since I was about 14 years of age. This is due to my mum making sure I grew up with lovely skin. After all, there's no point in using anti aging onced you've aged right?? This Nip + Fab viper venom eye fix is amazing, it has a cold ball to roll on over the eye area that really wakes you up and feels like it's helping straight away.

Another thing my mum always taught me was that the hands and neck are the first things to go. They show your age even those women who love a little Botox on their forehead, check out their hands and neck, that's a sure tell tell sign that they may actually be older than they appear. Make sure you moisturise those areas not just your face.

Now this Laura Mericer set was a compete surprise from my boyfriend. He knows I love vanilla and geez does this smell amazing. It's a complete set from bubble bath, exfoliant to moisteriser to body mist and when I use it all I can smell it on my skin for the whole day and the next morning. One of my favourite Christmas presents, believe me it's incredible.

I hope you enjoyed part one of my Devember favourites, stay tuned for part Two.

Coco the Birthday girl

Today is Coco's birthday and we have spent all day together. We started the day with some visits to pet shops to get her favourite treats and to see some bunny rabbits and then headed over to grannies.

Late afternoon we cuddled up and watched movies and I had on my new hotel style slippers from The White Company.

In the evening we headed out for her birthday meal where myself, Liam, my mum and dad enjoyed some lovely food at The Kino Lounge which is a very dog friendly place and gave her a bowl of her own water as soon as we sat down with some biscuits.

Now it's safe to say at this exact moment I write this Coco and Liam are fast asleep curled up together after her birthday celebrations. Being the birthday girl is tiring work :)

Happy birthday my darling Coco

All things festive

It's safe to say I'm a little bit excited for Christmas, I'm currently buying so much for the tree my boyfriend thinks I'm crazy, every day I'm coming home with more things to add.

If I'm not making festive hot chocolate, hanging baubles on the tree, making Liam watch Christmas movies then I'm either at work :) or online Christmas shopping. One reason I'm super excited this year is because its the first one spent with Liam.

Here are some photos of mine from my Instagram account, please check it out at @katywatts8 to see even more Christmas inspiration.

My own Kilner creation.

After being inspired by pictures of Kilner jars on Instagram and how people have creatively used them, I decided to make my own little festive gifts for my friends children.

I used the Christmas MilkyBar Snowy the Snow Owl with some sparkly fake christmas snow to create a little winter scene. The children can eat the chocolate and my friends are left with the jar to use and store things in so its kind of a two in one present. I purchased the jars from The Range store and the chocolate snow owls from Tesco. The fake snow is from Poundland and that's the the items you need to create this. I also added a few mini eggs on top of the snow to bring a little colour and to look like bird eggs.

And there you have it, Snowy will be off to their new owners very soon for Christmas.

Favourite ways to use a Kilner jar

So I've seen plenty of Kilner jars around and I have some myself and the candy cane red and white straws to drink out of, but these are my favourite ways people have creatively used the jars on Instagram.

Being inspired by the Easter rabbits in the jars I'm going to create the same but with chocolate reindeers for my friends children. So cute and once eaten your left with a Kilner jar to use as a vase, light or ways to create your favourite ice cream Sunday. So many ways to use a Kilner jar.

Out and about

At the weekend I was out and about with my boyfriend, seeing my nan, taking Coco for long walks and shopping. I love weekends where nothing is really planned, just going from one place to the next enjoying each other's company.

I was probably a little too excited by our first purchase which was our serving boards. I love when you go to restaurants and instead of plates you get thick wooden serving boards or sometimes slate. Below is the picture of the two Jamie Oliver serving boards we purchased from TKmaxx. I'm a huge lover of a wine and cheese night and love a bread board so we are now all set for our own tapas nights.

The outfit I wore for the day was based around my beautiful new Alexander McQueen bag. I felt the red and white print really should stand out so I went for an all black look.
